A little over a year ago, if you lived in Gwinnett County and had a craving for an authentic New York steak, you had to go to Buckhead, according to Norberto Sanchez, Chief Executive Officer and President of Norsan Group. To fill that void for his Gwinnett County neighbors, Sanchez opened Frankie’s The Steakhouse in 2017, located on the third floor of the Gwinnett Chamber building. “We have great steak, great food, great wine. It’s what makes people happy,” said Sanchez. Add to that live jazz, which gives the restaurant a certain Frank Sinatra flair, and a menu that has all the steakhouse favorites plus creative specials, and it’s no wonder the restaurant has already won the hearts of diners. “We have a high frequency of repeat visitors,” Sanchez said. “We are like a family.” Though the restaurant is only a little over a year old, the concept has been in the works for about a decade. With the knowledge of steakhouse operations gained from opening and running Norsan Group’s Pampas Steakhouse, Sanchez said he wanted to develop something more traditional. While Pampas, like Frankie’s, is a fine dining steakhouse, it showcases steaks cooked in the traditional Argentinian way—on charcoal.
